Consumer Redressal

I took a Car from Mangocabs (Verito) to Trivandrum Domestic Airport from Mudavanmukal and returned to Mudavanmukal on 14/05/2014. Trip No.22960, as I was informed. The duration was about 2 hours. On booking the Mango cabs informed me that the rate was Rs.11.00/km for Verito sedan. On return ,the driver charged me Rs 825 telling me that the total distance was 60 km plus 15 km (30+30+15=75 km x Rs.11=R.825) to and fro from Garage. I felt it was unrealistic and I protested. He started arguing with me. He then handed over his mobile to me and the person at the other end, from Mangocabs informed me that the distance from Mudavanmukal to Domestic Airport is 30 kms and demanded Rs.800 to settle the matter. To avoid making a scene in front of the relatives I paid the amount and he went off. The actual distance is only15 k.m from Mudavanmukal to Airport, as found out. I called Mangocabs and talked to a gentleman named Mr.Ramkumar and he conceded that the driver had over charged me and agreed
