Star Health & Allied Ins Co Ltd Thane has repudiated the claim for PED and utmost good faith. The pre-health check up was done by empanelled doctor as well as declared in the proposal form about the DM along with medication in force, so no question of utmost good faith. Now regarding PED, Co is stating that the current ailment is complications of DM and is not payable. The Treating Hospital has given me the certificate that it cannot be established that DM is the sole cause of present ailment. Now, the issue is going in District Consumer Forum, Thane. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
